It was hot today in the land of fake boobs and even faker smiles (that is California for some of the un-educated). The mercury saw a rising of about 96 in San Jose, CA, where I make my homestead with my wife and three adorable, lovely children.
But more than that, it was a day well spent with my kids at the pool, gardening in the front yard, picking up around the house and just feeling content with myself and my life. So much so, that I felt it prudent to spend the 78 degree evening (it is 9:17 PM right now), outside in my front yard, enjoying a stogie, watering some plants.
Thank you GOD for my life, my health, my family and more importantly my peace of mind that my decisions in life have been good ones and that we are continuously blessed. My wife and I have a lot to be thankful for.
Yesterday was a great game by my boys (Almaden Little League AA division Yankees), in which they held the Diamondbacks to 2-1 game (we lost unfortunately). I had a lot to do this past weekend for my father-in-law and the church, which I got out of the way yesterday, and cleared up my Sunday to be an easy cruise into the coming week.
I am looking forward to this next weekend and celebrating the Memorial Day Weekend with my family. We don’t realize how lucky we are in life to be in this land so full of promise and freedoms that many of us take for granted.
May we never forget the blood that was shed for our nation to help ensure that democracy would survive.
Have a wonderful week and try to roll with the current as the week sweeps us towards next weekend!
