Well, I did it.
I quit my job today – It is never an easy change to move from job to job, but I felt that after 15 months of working for my company (3Leaf Systems) that it was time to move on.
I do I.T. stuff – computer this, connect that, flip this. For the past few months, I have felt like this "Monkey Pushing a Button" (LINK) and recently the organization went through a re-org and I haven’t felt really secure since then. My insecurity coupled with a general lack of moving the company forward attitude from a few key individuals made my job less than desirable.
So I started interviewing a few months back with my ‘NEW’ company and on December 3, 2008, will be starting with them. The company is Proteus Biomedical and I will be their I.T. Manager and I look forward to the change in management and hopefully the embracing of a technology/philosophy I have come to love over the past 16 years.
Here is to a better future.
Another page from the WTF circular bin.
Why is it that the fundamental principles taught by Jesus during his 30 some years are lost on the all but the most progressive Christians. Now Eastern Orthadox Greeks and Armenians are FIGHTING/BRAWLING at the Church of the Holy Sepulcher – the supposed place of the crucifixion, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

How messed up as a religion do we have to be to take the most fundamental principle of our faith – LOVE THY NEIGHBOR and LOVE THY GOD and just totally fuck them up? We cannot even manage two simple rules from Christ – what makes people think they would be able to manage any of the other rules in life or society.
I think religion is a good foundation for moral and ethical belief system – but to take words written by men, thousands of years ago and to apply them to today’s society is just wrong.
Love Thy Neighbor – doesn’t mean – have a fight at my tomb because you want pissing rights there.
I hope, someday, to make it to Isreal to see the land were Jesus walked and to see the places that he saw. But I am under no delusion that my religion has any specific right to that land because he walked there 2000 years ago.
The article above is just insane and wrong on so many levels.

I don’t understand what it is about the word marriage that makes it a religious war between the Yes on 8 and No on 8 campaigns.
I am very dismayed and disturbed that 52% of the voters decided to discriminate against gays and lesbians. Some people say that they didn’t mind that people wanted to have a union together or the same rights as heterosexual people, but that the word MARRIAGE belonged to those who washed themselves in the sanctity of their religions.
I don’t agree. So, I guess it will come down to the California legislature having to create some UNION LICENSE with the same exact inalienable rights as those who traditionally sought out a marriage license from the state of California. So, you might be getting ‘married’ in the church, but you will be required to get a UNION license from the state of California – that is the only solution at this point.
Now, Marriage will become this word used specifically for church sponsored unions and should not be used in any legislature or legal documents. There has to be some unifying principal for people to have the same rights under the state – otherwise we are talking about discrimination – plain and simple.
I challenge any person who does not believe in the above, prove to me that your line of thinking isn’t discriminatory towards the rest of Californians – without bringing in your religious beliefs. Good Luck!
